Supported Employment

ASMC is an approved vendor with Vocational Rehabilitation to provide Community Based Assessments, Supported Employment Individual Job Coaching, Work Adjustment Job Coaching, and Long-term follow along services. Adults with autism and developmental disabilities who have been referred through VR may be eligible.

ASMC provides these services in Gaston, Mecklenburg, and Union Counties. The focus of our Supported Employment program is to work closely with prospective employees to determine their skills and attributes to successfully match them with an employer.

ASMC has over 30 years experience providing services to individuals with autism. We understand the issues that those with autism face and how that can affect their ability to work and maintain a job. That understanding allows us to be more successful in job placement and retention.
