Corn Hole Tournament Benefits ASMC
Monday May 17, 2010

Saturday, May 15th shaped up to be one extremely hot & humid day in the Queen City. Perfect weather for a Corn Hole Tournament! The parking lot of the Sports Page in Coulwood served as the playing field for a 40 team Corn Hole Tournament sponsored by The One-Eyed-Jacks, a Charlotte Philanthropic Organization. The One-Eyed-Jacks hold the tournament bi-annually and selected ASMC as the beneficiary of their first tournament of 2010. All who attended had a blast, including Jenny and Kitty from the Piney Grove Group Home. Team Achievement (the name Kitty and Jenny chose for their team) had the distinction of playing their 1st round game against a team by the name of DC-43. Though Team Achievement put in a good effort; DC-43 won the round and subsequently went on to win the entire tournament. We’re guessing that Kitty and Jenny prepared them for victory! DC-43 members Danny Blanks and Chris Hershey are both Coulwood residents and very experienced Corn Hole players. The Tournament raised $1,600.00 for ASMC programs while providing a great afternoon of fun and excitement for all. |
